WEEKLY WORKOUTS

CLUB RUN

THURSDAY AFTERNOONS 

5:40pm @ Huish Drive

These runs are every Thursday evening, 5:40pm (meet at 5:30pm for 5:40pm start), Huish Drive near the children's playground, bbq tables, and toilets.  The distances range from 3km to 6km or anything in between.  These runs are very social so bring your dog to walk, bring your family, bring a work colleague/friend, or just bring yourself!   They are perfect runs for those new to running.  Some of our more competitive runners use this as a hard hit-out, tempo session. 'ROOKIE' RUN

MONDAY AFTERNOONS 

5:30pm @ Huish Drive

Rocky "Rookie" Road Runners sessions are held on Monday afternoons at 5:30pm. Participants meet at the Huish Drive playground and typically complete one or two laps of the riverside walk. It is self-paced, but experienced runners are on hand to offer advice and assist with individual training objectives. Participation is free, although those who regularly attend are encouraged to become members of the Road Runners club for insurance purposes.

LONG RUN

SATURDAY MORNINGS 

5:00am @ Degani Bakery Cafe (Farm St)

This run meets on Saturday mornings, 5:00am at Degani Bakery Cafe, Farm Street (Glenmore shopping village). This workout is self-select distance and is a slow, aerobic workout. This run focusses on time rather than distance run.  Times range from 1.5 hours to 3 hours.

ALL runners are welcome!

TRACK SESSION

TUESDAY EVENINGS 

6pm @ CQUniversity Oval

These sessions go for between 45min - 1hr. There are many people attending of various fitness levels so you do not have be a "fast runner" to attend, just someone who is looking to improve.  The cost for track session is $2.00 per week - paid as you go. Arrive at the track 10min or so early for a warm-up with other runners - ready for a 6pm session start.

TEMPO RUN

SUNDAY AFTERNOONS 

5:30pm @ Queens Park

This run meets at Queens Park (the park on the Northside of the train bridge) at 5:30pm. These runs are 1hr in duration. The pace is usually about 4:30 - 5min/km but can vary depending on how everyone is feeling!
